DHING R.O.B , ASSAM
Initially, the connectivity of the Nagaon town, was both deficient and substandard. Prior to the construction of this ROB, the town was linked to the other side of Dhing Road, through a railway level crossing, which created a great deal of traffic congestion, due to frequent closure of the gate when the train passed.
Its construction replaced the railway gate and eased the traffic movement of Nagaon phenomenally. The Railway track over which this ROB is constructed, is the main line connecting Nagaon & and the adjacent area of the NE with the rest of the India.
It linked the NH-37 with Dhing town and thus greatly reduced the travelling time, especially of the pilgrims visiting Srimanta Sankardev Than, a Holy Place, at Bordowa, that is situated at a distance of 16.00 Km from Nagaon district head Quarter.
